Protect your frame and hammer from over travel strikes which is a common occurrence among all TM Hi-Capas and clones. When the GBB is fired, the lower part of the hammer often batters the frame. Over time the soft metal on the lower frame deforms and can cause issues. This also creates a stress point that could fracture the hammer. The hammer pad acts as a spacer and modifies the geometry in which the hammer strikes so that the frame is not damaged and the energy of the hammer traveling is distributed evenly on the pad which will prolong that component's lifespan.
